Testing
and inspecting lifting tackle and equipment is a course run by Loadpin
Training Services. It is designed for those who are involved in the
specification, use, inspection and testing of rigging equipment.
It is a week long course with a written exam and presentation as
the means of assessment.
Risk
Assessment is a critical part of the management of Health and Safety.
This course is a 1 day workshop with a written exam demonstrating
a basic understanding to carry out risk assessments in the workplace.
Tower
and ladder use is common within the entertainment industry. This
course is designed to provide the correct training to ensure the
use of
towers and ladders is carried out safely.
A
three day rope access course covering work positioning, restraint,
fall arrest and rescue techniques. Critical for specialist rigging
activities and understanding the different access options that exist
in the workplace.
These
two qualifications cover the types of lifts most commonly used on
event sites.
The
mobile elevated work platform (cherrypicker or flying carpet) is
a mainstay of access in the event industry. This qualification is
issued by the International Powered Access Federation, and covers
genies, trailer units, push arounds as well as self powered plant
of any size.
Kwikform
is a system found on a large proportion of events that require structures.
This qualification provides the knowledge and ability to inpsect
a scaffolding structure for compliance with the design and common
scaffolding standards and requirements.
Class
1 covers driving both rigid and articulated lorries.
